Self catering accommodation in a traditional setting for people exploring the Alpujarras region of Southern Spain

Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Southern Spain is a green oasis that is Las Alpujarras.  Rivers fed by the melt waters from the mountain snows keeps the valley irrigated and fertile. In the heart of the region lies the market town of Cadiar with the village of Narila less that 1km away along a sleepy lane lined with Almond, Olive and fig trees.

Narila is a tranquil, traditional village, the local inhabitants make their living mostly from the land and its not unusual to see mules and goats being driven through the village.

Springtime in the Alpujarras is a riot of wild flowers and blossom filled trees. The climate is ideal for taking part in outdoor pursuits, walking, mountain biking, cycling or horse riding.  The summers are hot & dry but the altitude keeps temperatures more bearable, a time for siestas, fiestas & visiting Mediterranean beaches only 30 minutes away.  Autumn is harvest time, figs, persimmon, grapes, almonds & olives are filling the trees and the climate is again ideal to get out and explore the mountains & valleys. Winter days can be warm and sun filled and occasionally snowy but always beautiful and dramatic.

Our house is in the heart of the village, built over 100 years ago using traditional architecture & methods, we have recently renovated the property to modern standards to offer you a comfortable relaxed stay.
